We were having a technical issue with the on line registration system
but are now ready to roll again. It might show for the next couple hours that Student entries are the only available
category but continue through the registration process and the other catagories will be available.
Thanks Audra for brining that to our attention. On line registration closes on Nov. 10th.

We have officially beaten the state count record thanks to Scott from Lafayette Louisiana
who signed up to run the half marathon. With Louisiana that makes 27 states.
Also, want to remind
everyone about our spaghetti dinner hosted by Cafe Largo. You can purchase your tickets at the expo until 9pm. You can
also purchase tickets for our "Brunch Buffet" hosted by Bayside Grille. Awards ceremony will be held
during the brunch buffet starting at 12pm. We are honored again this year to have Key Largo's Mayor Silvia Murphy to
present awards.

Hey out there! I think its about time I get my butt in gear and give
everyone an update. Thanks to my friend Kelly for giving me the wake up call I needed. It's been hard
this year keeping up with everything, but I assure you all is well and we are very excited about this year.
There
will be one big improvement on our course this year and that is the addition of mile marker signs. It was one of the most
requested and suggested improvements and we made it happen. Although, I gotta say it was not the easiest thing in the
world to do. It got a little complicated but thanks to our "mile marker sponsors" it worked out perfectly.
I think everyone will appreciate knowing what mile they are at. It always helps
.
Here are the answers to some of the most asked questions via email:
-Road closure is from 5 am - 10:30am.
That is the northbound lane only of U.S. 1 from the start line at Reef Drive to just past Manatee Bay Marina. Southbound traffic
will continue uninterrupted while the northbound traffic will be diverted up 905 & Cardsound Rd. Tolls will be lifted
during this time.
-There are 4 water stations. The course is out and back therefore you will be able to hit each
water station twice. They are located at mile markers 1, 3, 4.6 & 6.4. Again, these same water stations will
be available on your return to the finish line.
-There will be no parking at the staging area or near the finish
line. Parking will be located at Rowell's Marina (bayside) mm 104.5. Transportation will be provided from Rowell's Marina
and the Key Largo Holiday Inn starting at 5:00am. The only parking allowed at the church will be for handicap parking and
volunteers.
Now for the drum roll please....We have exactly 524 signed up as of this very moment. 26 states
with Florida, New York, North Carolina, New Jersey and Pennsylvania in the lead. We also have folks coming from 4 countries
including Switzerland, Bahamas, Brazil and Germany. I would like to send a quick shout out to our friends from
Switzerland and Germany. The same couples have traveled to Florida for the past two years to pariticpate in our race.
I look forward to seeing them again this year.
From here on out I will do my best to keep this page updated with
useful information. If you should have any questions feel free to send and email to candy@keylargobridgerun.com. You can also call the church and speak with Gen at 305-451-1642.
Have a good week and happy training.

By the way!
Just to clear up any
confusion created by our local papers here lately, the Spaghetti Dinner is being hosted by CAFE LARGO this
year from 4:30pm until 11:00pm. Two of our local papers have misprinted information in the last two
weeks and I want to make sure everyone knows where to go to carb up before race day. Hopefully this misprint will be corrected
in next week papers. It would really be nice to have the option to proof read any material printed before it is published,
but that does not seem to be the case.
I apologize for any confusion this may have caused.
